KOLKATA: The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) members met for their Annual General Meeting via a webinar on Sunday morning. However, no final decision has yet been taken as to how to felicitate their most famous cricketing son, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, post his international retirement on 15th August.
As of now they have planned to consult the former India captain for his felicitation once he returns home from the UAE after the completion of the IPL.

"After we talk to him only then we can come to any decision about it. We haven’t taken any decision today (Sunday)," said JSCA secretary Sanjay Sahay.
Talking to TOI, he further added, "We will definitely request him for the felicitation. Whatever we do we need to ask him first. BCCI will probably do it their own way but if it doesn’t happen from their end then definitely we would like to do something about it (felicitating him)."
After Dhoni decided to call time on his international career, Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren requested the Indian cricket board to organize a farewell match for the wicketkeeper-batsman in Ranchi. The suggestion, however, was dismissed as former IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla said that no such match will be held since Dhoni himself never made any such demands.
Meanwhile, during the AGM the members appointed Justice Rafat Alam (former Chief justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court) as the Ombudsman of the association for 2020-21. The secretary further confirmed that three new selection committees had been formed with Ashok Ghosh heading the senior men’s team selection committee while Milan Dutta has been appointed as the chairman of the junior men’s selection committee.
